Do you love cars and baseball? Want to work doing a fun job this summer? Antique Touring Company is hiring people to operate our new tour, the Riverfront Loop, during baseball season 2023!

Antique Touring Company is a local small business providing tours of historic Detroit in antique Detroit-made automobiles. We offer private curated tours covering the areas of Belle Isle, Corktown and Milwaukee Junction-Highland Park.

This year we are doing something a little different.  The Riverfront Loop is a hop-on-hop-off tour of the Detroit Riverfront that will operate before or after Tiger's games this season in our 1929 Ford Model A Woody.  We are hiring two part-time positions for drivers of the Riverfront Loop.

Pay is between $17 and $23 an hour plus 10% sales commission if you book people on our other tours.

If you are interested in becoming a team member at Antique Touring Company, please read this notice all the way through and respond according to the instructions at the bottom.

Team Members responsibilities are as follows:

  • Driving guests along tour routes in Model A Fords while delivering Antique Touring Company’s curated historical material;

  • Performing routine maintenance tasks required for optimal safety and operability before the start of the day’s tours;

  • Ensuring critical vehicle information, safety equipment, literature and tools are present in the vehicle before the start of each tour;

  • Being available a few times a week on an on-call basis;

  • Taking photographs of guests on tour and uploading the photos to instagram at the end of each tour;

Training is paid and provided on-site at Antique Touring Company’s Location, 461 Piquette Avenue, Detroit, and along the Riverfront.  We are located on the ground floor of the Ford Piquette Avenue Plant. After four training sessions in March, the tentative hires will be expected to meet the following requirements before he or she is permitted to deliver the tour:

  • Demonstrate the ability to safely and gently drive a Model A Ford using a 1929-31 factory-spec, unsynchronized manual transmission.
