Heitage Tour of Corktown & Michigan Central Station
The Corktown Community is the oldest existing neighborhood in Detroit. Home to Detroit workers since the 1830’s, 75 acres of Corktown homes and businesses were demolished in the years following World War II for industrial expansion, and for the expansion of area freeways. The remaining residential sections were listed on the National Register of Historic Places in July of 1978. Accordingly, the neighborhood is now designated as an Historic District of the City of Detroit. Discover the secrets of Detroit’s first melting pot as it has evolved through nearly two centuries.

Highlights of the tour include North Corktown, The old Tiger Stadium site, St. Anne’s Basilica, the Ambassador Bridge to the last remaining worker’s row house of the 1850’s. From there we will take a spin around the Michigan Central Depot Restoration Site,” through the lit Michigan Avenue Business district and around Campus Martius in the heart of Downtown. You will sample the architecture of the area, from 19th century primitive workers’ cottages to the surviving belles of Victorian Beaux Arts to 21st century contemporary dwellings and hotels, peacefully coexisting side by side by side.

Jupiter
1930 Ford Model A Pheaton or Touring Car.
Introducing Jupiter
Meet Jupiter, he is a 1930 Ford Model A Phaeton. Jupe is a four-door "touring car," with a soft top that can go up during rain or mid-day sun. Up to four people plus the driver fit in Jupe. He was the first car in our fleet in 2018 and came from Jupiter Florida.

Seating Capacity
Jupiter can seat a total of five individuals including the driver with one guest in the front passenger seat and three across the back. However, Model A's have fairly narrow seating capacity compared to modern cars, so some people are more comfortable on tour with two in the back.

Accessibility
All of our Model A's have running boards for stepping up into the vehicles. Also, to get into the back seat requires finess over the rear fender. This can be challenging for people with mobility issues.

Child Seats
We are unable to accommodate child seats so as per Michigan law, we do not go on tour with children under the age of 8 years old.
Jack
1931 Ford Model A Slant Window Town Sedan.
Introducing Jack
Meet Jack, he is a 1931 Ford Model A Slant Window Town Sedan, a four-door hard-top seating up to four people plus the driver. Jack was the second addition to our fleet in 2018 and is a local fella who joined our fleet from Bloomfield Hills Michigan.

1929 Ford Model A Woody Station Wagon.
Introducing Josephine
Meet Josie, she is our 1929 Ford Model A Woody Station Wagon. She's a four-door open car (no windows) with capacity for up to six people plus the driver. We acquired Josie in 2021. Like Jack, Josie is a local gal who made her way to our team from Allen Park Michigan.
